GOJJJ Modern Paris Symphony - all around the world The GOJJJ is proud to be one of the most prominent French Orchestras, composed exclusively of the best recrutes of both the prestigious Opera Bastille of Paris and the Opera De Lyon. Along the multiple years of performances conducted and inspired by Maestro Paul Mauriat, The GOJJJ was created as the Modern Paris Symphony to pay an homage to the music of Paul Mauriat which has enabled the Orchestra to establish a truly loyal audience and to fulfil many artistic aspirations. Joint projects between the Orchestra and the Paul Mauriat tribute place us at the heart of the representation of the French culture across the globe. The GOJJJ also enjoys many successful tours in many territories such as Japan, South Korea, China, Russia, Europe. Touring has been a crucial part of the GOJJJ's life since its very beginning. Based on the relationship with Maestro Paul Mauriat and his huge international success (first international hit with Chariot, which he wrote in collaboration with friends Franck Pourcel (co-composer), Jacques Plante (French lyrics) and Raymond Lefèvre (orchestrator). In the United States the song was recorded as I Will Follow Him by Little Peggy March and became #1 on the Billboard charts in all categories for three weeks in 1963. In 1992, the song was featured prominently in the film Sister Act starring Whoopi Goldberg. More recently, Eminem included an extract in his song, Guilty Conscience), the conductor Jean-Jacques Justafré follows the steps of Mauriat with the GOJJJ Modern Paris Symphony in 2009. Since then the Symphony meets the success on each of the international tours. In 2012, an concert of PINK FLOYD Atom Heart Mother at the Théâtre du Chatelet was broadcast on France 2 (national TV channel in France).
